POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for providing technical assistance and support to OR computer users related to systems, hardware, or software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.
  • Write training manuals.
  • Train computer users.
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
  • Respond to email messages for customers seeking help.
  • Ask questions to determine nature of problem.
  • Walk customer through problem-solving process.
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Clean up computers.
  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
  • Install computer peripherals for users.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
  • Gain feedback from customers about computer usage.
  • Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Windows 7, Mac OS X, Google Collaboration Apps and Office 365
  • Active Directory maintenance and Exchange Server maintenance
  • Mac and PC hardware, Printers, scanners, computer peripherals, Mobile devices (iOS, Android)
  • Client PC connectivity - ethernet, TCP/IP and VPN
  • File server knowledge
  • Experience with Kaspersky desktop security products
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users
  • 2 years+ experience working in a Windows/Mac environment
  • Must be able to communicate easily and clearly in English (delete this line for jobs not requiring this).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Use of keyboard, mouse, monitor, sitting, bending, stooping, crawling, standing, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, walking up and down steps, using ladder, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS:  Office and production environments. May include working in enclosed spaces or at heights
