SUMMARY:

The Traffic & Customer Acquisition Manager is a critical new role in the Direct Sales Team at Outdoor Research.  As the Traffic & Customer Acquisition Manager, you'll not only bring a love for the outdoors, but also a passion for organic and paid customer marketing.  Your proven ability to leverage your experience, analytical prowess and creative eye will be required to quickly grow the customer base and drive the revenue and profitability of Outdoor Research's Direct Sales business.  You'll be responsible for scaling current programs, testing and developing new strategies for long-term growth. Your love for understanding the product, the customer and increasing lifetime value will drive you to continually analyze marketing channel trends and purchase behaviors to optimize individual campaigns and the program overall.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strategies to drive sales, customer acquisition and retention.
  • Manage all organic and paid online advertising spend across channels for the Direct Sales team, including SEO, SEM, Display and Paid Social.
  • Manage closely to performance targets across spend, conversion, ROAS and customer acquisition goals.
  • Develop, champion and execute SEO strategies to improve key term ranking and traffic generation.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to measure conversion and creative performance; managing workflow for continual testing, iteration, and learning.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with analytics, e-commerce, creative and social teams.
  • Proactively stay on top of industry trends, new tools and technologies. Evaluate and recommend new opportunities to the company for digital marketing, and put into motion.
  • Effectively manage and work with outside agency to optimize campaigns on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to meet spend revenue and lead volume goals.
  • Continually analyze keyword and campaign data to drive insights and new growth opportunities.
  • Establish process and prioritization of robust A/B testing.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-year college degree in Marketing or a related field, MBA preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional SEM, Paid Social and SEO experience.
  • Google Adwords Search & Display Advertising Certifications.
  • Marketing agency experience is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge in PPC & Social Media strategy, mechanics, tactics and execution.
  • Proficient in analytics platforms, attribution technology, Facebook Business Manager and AdWords.
  • Strong analytical skills and proven ability to use data to derive campaign insights/optimize program performance.
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team.
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, creativity, and self-motivation.
  • Strong project management skills with a keen focus on key details and ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite.
