Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Other duties may be assigned.  All of the following are to be performed while adhering to OR operational policies, procedures, and safety rules.
  • Responsible for the picking and preparation of all ASAPS and Pre-seasons in the warehouse for daily transport off site.
  • Utilize assigned equipment to pick orders, access back stock, and prepare items for shipment.
  • Utilize basic functions of the Warehouse Operating System.
  • Assist in the unloading of all products from off shore containers.
  • Know the full Outdoor Research product line and remain updated on changes, additions or deletions.
  • Respond to Customer Service needs in a detailed and timely manner.
  • Assist in both front and backstock inventory accuracy, basic inventory control, stock refill, and inventory put away.
  • Complete other assignments as assigned and provide progress reports.
  • Suggest/implement ideas to improve efficiency of systems in place.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and healthy work environment.

 

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Other Qualifications  

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); three to six months experience in a warehouse environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Excellent interpersonal skills.  Ability to work well on a team as well as independently.  Extreme detail orientation.  Ability to multi-task.  Ability and willingness to work with a culturally and ethnically diverse workforce.  Ability to maintain an excellent attendance and punctuality record.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.  Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.  

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.            

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and on occasion up to 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.  

 

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Terminal, PC (cantel, neopost), Scanner and general office machinery and tools
